The game is played via a browser and we intend to collect as little data as possible. To this end:

We do not intentionally collect:

• your name, email address, or account details

• precise location data

• payment information

• device identifiers for tracking

• analytics or advertising identifiers (unless you add them later)

None of this is needed to play.

RICKSHITL does not set cookies for tracking. It uses browser local storage to save game progress.

This locally stored information is:

• your guesses and results for the current day

• your selected word length (4/5/6) and dictionary mode (UK/US)

• whether you’ve finished, reset, or given up

• a small cache of whether words you entered were valid (to avoid re-checking the same word)

You can delete the locally stored game data at any time by:

• using the in-game Reset button (for the current mode/day), and/or

• clearing your browser’s site data for rickshithouse.co.uk in your browser settings.

To validate guesses RICKSHITL uses dictionaryapi.dev (via api.dictionaryapi.dev).
